Q: What are the benefits of hiring a professional pet sitter?
A: Typically, pets are far less stressed when they are able to stay in their own familiar home environment.
In-home pet sitting offers a great cage-free alternative to boarding and is often times more cost effective
for the pet owner. Your pet receives all the love and attention they crave while their owners have the
peace of mind knowing that both their pets and their home are being looked after while they are away.
Q: How many visits per day do I need for my pet(s)?
A: Wags N' Whiskers Pet Sitters will arrange a consultation to meet with you and your pets in order to
assess your needs. For both inside and outside dogs, we require a minimum of 2 visits per day on full days
that the primary caregiver will not be home. We can visit as many as 4 times a day, it will simply depend
on your specific needs. For cats and all other pets, we require a minimum of 1 visit per day. *Please note,
in order for us to provide the very best care possible for your pets, Wags N' Whiskers Pet Sitters can not
agree to offer every other day visits. Your pet can become injured or fall ill, so we strictly adhere to this
policy so as not to jeopardize the health and well being of your pets.
Q: What geographic locations does Wags N' Whiskers Pet Sitters service?
A: We currently service Waterset, Apollo Beach and Ruskin, FL. Please feel free to contact us if you are
nearby but outside of these service areas-we may still be available to assist you!
Q: What types of pets do you provide care for?
A: We provide loving in-home care for dogs, cats, fish, and caged pets such as rabbits, ferrets, hamsters,
birds and more!
Q: Will you administer my pets medications that they require while I am away?
A: Yes, we will administer your pets medications as prescribed by your pets veterinarian. Clients will need
to fill out, sign and return our Permission to Administer Medications addendum to our Pet Sitting Service
Agreement at the time of booking.

Q: What takes place during the free in-home consultation?
A: Your consultation will take no more than 30 minutes, and during this time, your pet sitter will gather
information on your pet's care such as feeding schedules, any medications that need to be administered,
and your pet's favorite playtime activities and walking schedules. We can help you decide how many visits
you think your pets will require and will spend time interacting with you and your pets on this visit.
Q: I have concerns about letting a pet sitter into my home. Are you insured, bonded and
A: Yes! For your piece of mind, we are insured, bonded and have been background checked by Sterling
Associates. We will gladly provide documentation of each during your initial in-home consultation.
Q: What if my pet is injured or my property is damaged while I am away?
A: Wags N' Whiskers Pet Sitters agrees to provide the services as outlined in our Pet Sitting Service
Agreement in the most caring and trustworthy manner possible. Due to the unpredictability of animals,
we can not accept responsibility for unusual circumstances that may arise that are out of our control
such as pet stains, furniture/home damage, spills, biting, or general damage done by pets actions. We are
not responsible for injuries, disappearance or fines if your pet has access to the outside while you are
Q: What would happen in the event of an emergency with my pet or my home?
A: In the event of an emergency with either your pet or your home, it is Wags N' Whiskers Pet Sitters policy
to make every effort to contact the client as quickly as possible. If your pet's health is in immediate
jeopardy, we will first contact your designated veterinarian and transport your pet as necessary.
(Additional transport fees apply). In the event of an emergency with your home, we will contact the
appropriate authorities and keep you informed.
Q: What methods of payment do you accept and when is payment required?
A: We accept PayPal, cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard and Discover credit cards. There is a $35 service fee on
any check that is returned. Payment in full is due on the first day that your scheduled service begins.
Q: Should I tip my pet sitter?
A: Gratuities are not required however, should you choose to tip your pet sitter, 100% of the tip goes
directly to your pet sitter.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: Please be advised, when a reservation is made, all visits are reserved for your pets care. If cancelling less
than 5 days prior to the first day of your scheduled service period, a fee of 25% of the total service fee is
applied. There are no refunds for cancellations received less than 24 hours before the start of the
appointment time. Some exclusions may apply, ie. cases of Acts of God or Natural Disaster.
